4 Ce Ce (4-1) runs for Mike McCarthy with Mr. Triple Crown Victor Espinoza on the mount. She has recorded five 100+ speed figures in her last six races, winning 3 of them, but no grade ones. 5 Frank’s Rockette (6-1) appears to be a step below the top contenders in this field. 8 Goodnight Olive (3-1) runs for Chad Brown with Irad on the mount. She has won 5 in a row and is getting better each time she touches the track. 11 Wicked Halo (10-1) has won 4 in a row, but has yet to record a 100+ speed figure. 13 Echo Zulu (6-1) has only raced once since her disappointing 4thplace finish in the Oaks in May.

Race 4 – Turf Sprint, (Grade 1) 5 ½ furlongs on the turf for 3 year olds and up
6 Highfield Princess (7-2) is the Euro invader to watch in this tough field. He has won 3 in a row and 5 of 6 overall. 7 Arrest Me Red (15-1) offers a ton of value for Wesley Ward and Johnny V. He has been steadily getting better and narrowly lost in the Grade 1 Jaipur to Casa Creed. 8 Golden Pal (2-1) won this race last year in Delmar and is in perfect order to repeat. 11 Casa Creed (6-1) does his best racing at New York with his owner, legendary radio hall of famer Mike Francesa on hand. He ran in the Mile last year and finished a distant 8th, will the shorter distance be to his likely? Only time will tell.

Race 5 – Dirt Mile, (Grade 1) 1 mile for 3 year olds and up
2 Simplification (15-1) has disappointed all year since his Fountain of Youth romp in early March. A turn back in distance just might be exactly what this colt needs. 5 Gunite (7-2) runs for Steve Asmussen with Tyler Gaffalione on the mount. He has won 4 of 5 overall, but non at a mile or more. 6 Laurel River (9-2) broke through to win his first graded stakes race last time out for Bob Baffert. 7 Cody’s Wish (5-2) this Bill Mott trained horse won the Forego last time out and has recorded 5 straight 100+ speed figures. 9 Cyberknife (9-2) after winning the Haskell in late July he has run into some trouble. Race 7 – Sprint, (Grade 1) 6 furlongs for 3 year olds and up
4 Kimari (4-1) has won two Grade 2’s in a row for Wesley Ward. Now get Jose Ortiz as Joel Rosario switches to favorite 9 Jackie’s Warrior (4-5) for Steve Asmussen. She has her 4 race win streak snapped last time by Cody’s Wish so watch race 5 today for a hint at what might come. 6 Elite Power (6-1) has absolutely romped the field in each of her last four races. Bill Mott has this Curlin colt firings on all cylinders and could boat race this field with a clean break. 5 Aloha West (12-1) won this race in Delmar last year but has since struggled to repeat that success. 4 American Theorem (10-1) ships in from California having won 2 of his last three including the Grade 1 Bing Crosby.

Race 9 – Breeders’ Cup Distaff, (Grade 1) 1 1/8thmiles for fillies and mares 3 years old and up
1 Malathaat (3-1) runs for Todd Pletcher with Johnny V on the mount. He has won twice in a row and never missed the board in 13 lifetime races. 3 Secret Oath (15-1) looks like her best days are behind after being blown out in each of her last 4 races. 4 Clairiere (4-1) was on a the hottest of streaks before a nine length loss to Malathaat in the Personal Ensign. 6 Nest (9-5) is simply the best filly in the world at this point in the year. She has won 3 in a row including the CCA Oaks and Alabama. 7 Search Results (9-2) is Chad Brown’s entry and looks to be a notch below the top of this field.

Race 10 – Breeders’ Cup Turf, (Grade 1) 1 ½ miles on the turf for 3 year olds and up

She faltered in last year’s Breeders’ Cup and looks to avenge that race today. 5 Rebel’s Romance (3-1) ships in from Germany having won 4 in a row for Charles Appleby and James Doyle. 6 Channel Maker (30-1) is the ageless wonder running once again as a 8 year old. 7 Nations Pride (7-2) is treading well having won two in a row. 10 Red Knight (20-1) when right this Pure Prize gelding can win anywhere the question is can he return to form for the first time years.
Bets: WIN 2 Exacta Box 2,7,5
Race 11 – Breeders’ Cup Classic, (Grade 1) 1 ¼ miles for 3 year old and up
1 Taiba (8-1) runs for Bob Baffert with Big Money Mike Smith on the mount. He won the Pennsylvania Derby last time out and looks to be primed for the big matchup with heavy favorite 4 Flightline (3-5) who has done nothing except blow out every field he has run against. 2 Life Is Good (6-1) has been flying high since returning from Dubai. 6 Epicenter (5-1) is the best 3 year old in the country having won the Travers and Jim Dandy after second place finishes in both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness. 7 Olympiad (10-1) won the Jockey Club Gold Cup in September after getting smoked in the Whitney by Life Is Good. 8 Rich Strike (20-1) shocked the world in the Derby winning at astronomical odds, but has yet to repeat that effort or anything approximating it.
